About Li Zhang
Li Zhang is an Illustrator, Designer, and Art Director currently based in New York.
Her works span different mediums such as illustration, digital design, and motion. After earning her Degree in Illustration from The Fashion Institute of Technology, she started working as an independent illustrator in New York. Afterward, she worked as a brand designer at Parallel for a while.
Prior to moving to the States, she worked as a product engineer for the Global French automotive company Groupe PSA in Shanghai. Drawing on a range of influences from pop artists like David Hockney to traditional Chinese painting, she has forged her own individual approach to painting and loves experimenting with perspective and geometry. Combining rational logical thinking with creative imagination, she enjoys creating intricate, symbolic, geometrical illustrations that celebrate diversity and the power of storytelling through a colorful patterned style.
